Crows comeback has Bicks smiling

After being 20 points down at three-quarter-time the crows stormed home in a nail biting last quarter to ensure coach Mark Bickley kept a perfect record.

The former Adelaide player turned coach may find it difficult to walk away from the role at West Lakes come season’s end, as he continues to show signs of passion that many Crows fans say Craig often lacked.

"At three-quarter time - when I asked them for an effort in the last quarter - I looked into their eyes and saw there was real belief there," said Bickley at the post-match press conference.

"They never stopped believing they could win the game.”

"It says more about the players than it does about me. It is a long time since we have come from a dire situation at three-quarter time."

“Add in the hot conditions and how we have not won on the road this year - to create a fantastic win.”

While it was Johncock who sealed the win for the Crows, Taylor Walker - a player often overlooked by former coach Neil Craig - provided some excitement and kicked 4 goals for the match, with one coming at a critical time in the final term.

Questions will surely now be asked by Crows fans and management alike as to whether Bickley should become more than just a caretaker coach.
